I am a freelance writer interested in gender, race and culture. I have written for the Guardian’s Comment is Free, New Statesman, the Sunday Guardian, and IBN Live, among others. I am also features editor for the UK feminist magazine The F-Word.
I completed my Master’s in Gender, Media and Culture from the London School of Economics in 2010 and have been working there as Equality and Diversity Adviser since then for a living (and a tiny bit of belief that I’m doing some good in the world).
I am a sporadic Twitterer (Tweeter? Tweep?), you can follow me at @asiyaislam.
